people who voice over a million concerns in fifteen hundred different languages, India is where people live with variety, thrive on diversity and are too familiar with largeness to let it boggle them. Travellers to India may however not find it so undaunting. Mud huts and mansions face off across city streets. Lurid luxury and limp living are inhabitants of the same lane. Just like in the ''masala'' box, measures of Calm, "Kaam" (work), Kama and Qualm people India......... myriad flavours mingling in the steam of a country coming of age. In this beautiful and bountiful land, events, experiences and sensations heap themselves on the traveller every step. India will be one of the most stimulating places you''ll ever visit, so visit you must. In India, be prepared though, to find spiritual retreats and temple towns are not so ''undiscovered'' and non commercial as would be ideal; to find that touts and ticket sellers and beggars and mendicants and snake charmers and street performers can be extremely pushy; to find that heat and dust so charming in India novels of the Raj are accompanied by an equal measure of dirt and may make for much discomfort. All is not pure in this sensational country, just like anywhere else in the world - but yet, it is an awesome experience. Come savour the flavours of India - the spice in life beckons!
